The merry-go-round is for use in a fairground. It has a main turntable (2) which is mounted to rise and fall on a vertical central column (3). Several cantilevered arms (4) are joined to the main turntable. The end of each arm has a bar (5) which is mounted so that it is free to rotate. It incorporates a horizontally mounted axle from the ends of which the passenger seats are suspended. USE/ADVANTAGE - The merry-go-round, for leisure parks etc. provides two circular movements which are superimposed to give the effect of spiral motion within a circle.
