The invention comprises a device for reproducing up-to-date information relating to tidal movement. This information comprises the times of high and low water and the water depths at these times. The device comprises a microcomputer which calculates the tide information. This information is reproduced on a read-out device. A timer (clock) is connected to the microcomputer so that reproduced tide information is related to the currently valid date and time. Through the use of a microcomputer supplied with the correct data, the tide information provided from the invention described here can be just as accurate as the officially published tide tables. The read-out device may comprise clock mechanisms in which the step motors, which normally receive an electrical pulse every second, are connected to the microcomputer. This device can be combined with a clock mechanism.
