Box device for cultivating small plants, comprising a number of cultivating-box units which can be stacked on top of one another and are each provided with an open top side and at least one receiving structure on surfaces thereof for receiving small plants or plants in pots, while the base of each cultivating-box unit is provided with a number of overflow pipes which extend vertically upwards and downwards, and each cultivating-box unit is furthermore filled with growing media of high permeability, and the said cultivating-box units are stacked on top of one another in such a manner that they fit accurately together. <IMAGE>
