<p>PURPOSE:To increase the velocity of dissolution of copper when copper-contg. ferro-scraps are treated with an ammoniacal aq. soln. in the presence of oxygen to selectively dissolve the copper in the scraps as an ammine copper (II) complex and to remove it. CONSTITUTION:An ammine copper (II) complex is incorporated into an ammoniacal aq. soln. at 0.1-3M concn. from the beginning of treatment. The complex can be incorporated into the treating soln. by adding powder of metallic copper or copper oxide to the ammoniacal aq. soln. or circulating and using part of a leaching soln. contg. dissolved copper after treatment in a dissolving process.</p> |
