Polyamide mixts. with scrap polyamide-polyolefin cpd. film - also contain special compatibiliser, esp. e.g. ethylene@]- maleic anhydride] copolymer or ethylene@]-butyl acrylate]-glycidyl acrylate] copolymer

Polyamide mixts. (I) contain (A) 40-98 wt.% polyamide, (B) 0.5-50 wt.% scrap polyamide/polyolefin cpd. film, (C) 1-50 wt.% compatibiliser and (D) 0-60 wt.% normal additives. Also claimed are moulding materials (II) based on (I). The polyolefin in (B) is polyethylene (PE) and the polyamide (PA) in (B) is homo-polyamide 6 or a copolyamide contg. at least 60% caprolactam, with wt. ratio PE/PA of (9:1-)-(1:1); pref., (B) contains 5-50 wt.% polyamide. Polyamide (A) is an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aliphatic / cycloaliphatic, aliphatic / aromatic or cycloaliphatic / aromatic (co)polymer, pref. PA 6, PA 66 or a copolyamide of PA 6 and PA 66, or a copolyamide of at least 70 wt.% caprolactam. USE/ADVANTAGE - (II) are used for the prodn. of moulded prods. (claimed). Addn. of small amts. of compatibiliser (C) to mixts. of (A) and (B) gives prods. with impact strength at least as good as that of high-impact polyamides contg. no recycled PA/polyolefin laminated film. ''Down-recycling'' of such scrap film (from food packaging, etc.) therefore becomes unnecessary.
