<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a horizontal stripe appearing on a screen of liquid crystal display panel by allowing a turn-on frequency of a back light, and a horizontal synchronizing frequency of the liquid crystal display panel to have a specific difference. CONSTITUTION:As for generation of a horizontal stripe, the horizontal stripe appears most remarkably on a screen in the case of a halftone display of a display state of C. Also, with regard to a state of generation of the horizontal stripe, the larger a difference DELTAf between a turn-on frequency of a cold cathode fluorescent tube of a back light and a horizontal synchronizing frequency of a liquid crystal display panel becomes, the smaller intensity DELTA Bp of the horizontal stripe becomes, and when this difference DELTAf is >=4kHz, the horizontal stripe becomes invisible. That is, when the turn-on frequency of a back light and the horizontal synchronizing frequency of the liquid crystal display panel are allowed to have a difference of >= about 4kHz, an interference effect of flickering (strength/weakness of luminance of high frequency) of the back light and flickering of the liquid crystal display panel can be eliminated, and generation of the horizontal stripe can be suppressed.</p> |
