<p>PURPOSE:To recover the thermoplastic polyester alone from a composite of a thermoplastic polyester and urethane resin or urea resin. CONSTITUTION:A 10cmX10cm sheet-like form ca.5mm thick produced by setting treatment of polyethylene terephthalate fibers with a polyether/MDI-based urethane resin solution is impregnated with water/pyridine followed by heating at 150 deg.C for 10hr. The fiber component is then filtered off the reaction liquor, washed, dried, and recovered; thus recovering the polyester fibers almost quantitatively without change in appearance.</p> |
