<p>PURPOSE:To provide a new compound derivative produced by reacting a specific cyclopentenone derivative with a nucleophilic reagent and deprotecting the protecting group and useful as pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals or their intermediates, especially as a synthetic intermediate for prostaglandins. CONSTITUTION:The objective cyclopentane derivative expressed by formula III or formula IV and useful as a synthetic intermediate for prostaglandins, etc., can be produced by reacting a cyclopentenone derivative of formula I [R<1> is 1-15C (substituted) alkyl or (substituted) phenyl; R<2> and R<3> are hydroxyl- protecting group] {e.g. (3R,4R)-2-methylene-3-[(S,E)-3-cyclohexyl-3-(t- butyldimethylsiloxy)-1-propene-1-yl]-4-(t-butyldimethylsiloxy)cyclopen tan-1-one} with a nucleophilic reagent expressed by formula II (R<4> is H or OH-protecting group; M is Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Ti, Zr, Ni, Cu Zn, Al, Sn, etc.) and, as necessary, deprotecting the protecting group of R<4>.</p> |
