摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the control efficiency by communicating a rod side chamber with a reservoir chamber via control gaps, communicating a piston side chamber with the reservoir chamber via a passage from the control gaps, providing check valves, and partitioning the control gaps with multiple electrode members. CONSTITUTION:At the time of extension, the electric viscous fluid of a rod side chamber A flows into a reservoir chamber R2 via control gaps S1, S2, and the fluid for the rod discharge volume is fed to a piston side chamber B from the reservoir chamber R2 via a check valve 14c. At the time of compression, the fluid in the piston side chamber B flows into the rod side chamber A via check valve 3a and flows into the reservoir chamber R2 via the gaps S1, S2. When the preset voltage is applied to the cylinder l of an electrode member and inner tubes 10b, 10a during the extension/compression actions, the viscosity of the fluid is changed with a hardening trend, and the flow of the fluid in the gaps S1, S2 is hindered. The pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the series control gaps S1, S2 partitioned by the electrode member is increased, and the damping force change width can be increased in response to the applied voltage.
