<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing apparatus wherein the life can be simply detected and exchanging can be performed at a proper timing by providing a sensor which is discolored by reacting with an odor ingredient being the object for deodorizing on a deodorizing filter. CONSTITUTION:An indicator 17 (a discoloring sensor) wherein a substance the color of which is changed by reacting with ammonia gas is used, is fixed on the front face of a deodorizing filter 7. This indicator 17 is prepd. by impregnating an acrylic resin particle with a particle size of 40-80 mesh with an ethanol soln. of Thymol Blue made acidic with sulfuric acid and drying it under vacuum and is stuck on a paper or nonwoven fabric. Then, when use of the deodorizing filter 7 is advanced after a long period and a large amt. of ammonia gas is adsorbed with a deodorizing agent, as it is also absorbed with an indicator 17 and the number of particles having been discolored to light yellow is increased, the color of the indicator 17 is changed to light yellow as a whole. It is possible thereby to know the life of the deodorizing filter 7.</p> |
