PURPOSE:To provide an electrostatic recording apparatus which records images on general paper without using a photosensitive body, particularly maintains the high resolution of images, improves the image density and forms stabler images. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 18 is formed at the peripheral surface of a developing roll 15 faced to a confronting electrode 6. Since grooves 16 are formed in the electrode 18, a toner T is transferred not only into a gap L between the confronting electrode 6 and the developing roll 15, but inside the grooves 16. As a result, the amount of the toner T present between the confronting electrode 6 and the electrode 18 is increased. Accordingly, the image density formed by the confronting electrode 6 is increased and the resolution is maintained in the electrostatic recording apparatus. |
