PURPOSE:To provide a mold clamper for an injection molding machine of a disc in which replacement of a stamper of a mold can be facilitated in a short time and contamination, damage of a cavity surface at the time of operating can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:Stationary and movable molds 14, 16 for constituting an injection mold 18 are mounted in a stationary board 12 and a movable board 20. The board 20 is longitudinally driven by a mold clamping cylinder 24 through a mold clamping ram 22. A maintenance mold opening mode of a mold opening amount larger than that at the time of normal operation is provided separately from a normal mold opening mode for controlling a mold opening amount at the time of the normal operation in a control unit 38 for controlling an operation, a stop of the cylinder 24 through a hydraulic unit 28. When the maintenance mold opening mode is selected by a maintenance mold opening mode switch, the cylinder 24 separates the mold 20 from the board 12 to a position set for maintenance to be stopped, and hence the mold 18 is opened in a mold opening amount adapted for the maintenance. |
