<p>PURPOSE:To provide the ultrasonic touch panel which senses a finger touch on a non-piezoelectric substrate by equipping the non-piezoelectric substrate with an ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving device. CONSTITUTION:When an electric signal is inputted from an inter-digital electrode T1 or T2, the electric signal is converted into a surface acoustic wave, which is propagated in the piezoelectric ceramic thin plate 6 of an ultrasonic wave device 1 and further propagated in a glass substrate 5. As for the surface acoustic wave propagated in the glass substrate 5, only surface acoustic waves of center frequencies indicated by inter-digital electrodes R1-R4 or R5-R8 of the ultrasonic wave device 3 and circumferential frequencies are converted into electric signals, which are outputted from the inter-digital electrodes R1-R4 or R5-R8.</p> |
