<p>PURPOSE:To prevent non-execution of smoothing from changing the line width of horizontal narrow lines or oblique narrow lines or varying the dot diameter of isolated photoprint dots at the time of graphic photoprint by photoprinting data with a high quality in accordance with the classification of character/ graphic and improving the resolution of character photoprint by smoothing. CONSTITUTION:A character/graphic discriminating means 4 is used to discriminate the classification of character/graphic in accordance with the ASCII code or bit map data. Photoprint sublines are provided for character photoprint in the subscanning direction to perform smoothing, but they are not provided for graphic photoprint and smoothing is not performed. A transfer frequency control part 8 switches the transfer frequency to a print head 14 by character/ graphic, and a photoprint data generating part 6 generates data to photoprint sublines for characters but does not generate data to photoprint sublines for graphics.</p> |
