摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a shift control device for a continuously variable transmission which is designed to stabilize behavior during running on a corner. CONSTITUTION:A change gear ratio between primary and secondary pulleys 26 and 18 is controlled. A lateral G limit value Glim responding to a car speed, the objective number Npo of revolutions of primary pulley responding to a throttle opening Th and a car speed V and the maximum output generating number Nep of revolutions of engine responding to the throttle opening Th are calculated. An acceleration mode and an engine brake mode are decided based on the maximum output generating number of revolutions of engine and the throttle opening. Based on the lateral G limit value Glim and lateral G of a vehicle, a first correction factor K1 for repairing acceleration is set during an engine brake mode and a second correction factor K2 for repairing reduction is set during an acceleration mode. Further, the correction objective number Npc of revolutions of primary pulley is calculated by multiplying the objective number Npo of revolutions of primary pulley by factors K1 and K2, and the actual number Np of revolution of engine is controlled to the same value.
