Aqueous laminating adhesive compositions adapted to bond difficult-to-adhere substrates, the compositions incorporating vinyl ester/acrylic copolymers with a Tg from about 10 C. to about -45 C., preferably from about -15 C. to about -35 C. are provided, which compositions exhibit good adhesion performance without requiring organic solvent.
