<p>PURPOSE:To perform maintenance and inspection of systems without stopping the operation of a plant and easily cope with an abnormality when it occurs by operating all systems at less than the rated capacity during the normal operation, isolating the required system at the time of an accident or maintenance or inspection, and operating the other systems at the rated capacity to secure the required capacity. CONSTITUTION:A fluid plant is constituted of three systems of circulating pumps 1-3 each having the 50% capacity of the whole facility. Sluice valves 11-16, flow regulating valves 17-19, and flow meters 21-23 are arranged as isolating means, and a pump flow control device, a pump revolving speed control device, a sluice valve opening control device, and a flow regulating valve control device are provided for controlling them. Revolving speeds of motors 4-6 are reduced to operate the pumps 1-3 at the 33%-capacity each during the normal operation. When one system fails or maintenance and inspection is performed, the operation of the system is stopped and isolated, the capacities of the other two systems are increased to 50%, and all systems are returned to the 33%-capacity after the maintenance and inspection is completed.</p> |
