<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the serviceability of a door lock device operated by a remote control device by providing the door lock device with a function to automatically re-lock the door when the door is not opened within a predetermined period of time after being unlocked, as well as a function to prevent automatic locking of the door in response to an unlock signal prior to re- locking. CONSTITUTION:If the door is not opened within a predetermined period of time (e.g. 30 minutes) after a receiving portion 7 provided in the body of a vehicle has received an unlock signal, the door is automatically re-locked by a door lock control portion 8. Before the door is automatically re-locked, an unlock signal is transmitted from a transmitter 2 at a time interval shorter than a predetermined period so that even when not opened the door is not re-locked. After the unlock signal is transmitted, if time is extended because of something to be done, the transmitter is controlled to prevent re-locking. The burglarproof property and serviceability of the door lock device can thus be enhanced.</p> |
