<p>PURPOSE:To economically attain high desulfurization performance by increasing the solid concentration of a liquid absorbent. CONSTITUTION:A liquid absorbent of limestone slurry having high solid concentration becomes viscous and its contact efficiency with waste gas is lowered. By any one or more of the following means, however, the average diameter of solid particles contained in the liquid absorbent is adjusted to >=20mum and the liquid absorbent is brought into contact with waste gas, causing the circulation in the liquid droplets to be easily generated, allowing the absorptivity of SO2 to be increased. (a) Solid particles are classified and a liquid absorbent contg. a lot of fine particles is discharged outside the system. (b) The average residence time of a liquid absorbent in a liquid absorbent tank in the lower part of a desulfurizer. (c) The pH of a liquid absorbent is controlled.</p> |
