<p>PURPOSE:To control the data generated quantity in an image data compression device for normally generating the data quantity which coincides the data rate of a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Data from an image data compression device 11 is stored in FIFO buffer memory 12 and the difference between the writing address and the reading address is detected 13. Since difference becomes the remaining capacity of the buffer memory, the amount of the remaining capacity is discriminated by the difference from a threshold and data generated quantity is controlled by a control means 14 according to the status. If the FIFO memory is pronounced as an endless memory by making it have annular structure, the address difference is continuously obtained.</p> |
