SINGLE ROLLER JACK

PURPOSE: To provide a compact single roller jack which can be manufactured easily and is high in reliability and compact so that it may be resistive to an impact in forward and horizontal directions and generate no latching in each of mechanisms. CONSTITUTION: This jack is made of a hollow casing 1 having a substantially trapezoidal shape, and a rod 21 is extended through the casing 1. The rod 21 is provided with a central part and two side guides to permit the central part to come into locking engagement with a toothed roller 11 placed inside toothed triangular recesses of a V-shaped member 5 which has a top part provided with a fork 8 and both side parts. One side of the V-shaped member 5 is pressed to the inner edge of the casing 1 and the other side has such a cutout 7 with a lower rounded part that cooperates with a cam 15 comprising a flat land and a finger 17, as well as an upper part having a slope.
