PURPOSE:To obtain the title polyester excellent in adhesion, transparency and recovery from curling by incorporating a specified ether-bond-containing dicarboxylic acid, an esterifiable alkali metal sulfonate compound, and an at least trifunctional esterifiable compound in the polyester. CONSTITUTION:The polyester is obtained by incorporating 1-20wt.%, based on the polyester, ether-bond-containing dicarboxylic acid or its esterifiable derivative, 1-15mol%, based on the dicarboxylic acid component of the polyester, esterifiable alkali metal sulfonate compound and 0.1-2mol%, based on the dicarboxylic acid component, at least trifunctional esterifiable compound in the polyester. In the formula, R<1> is a 4C or higher bivalent hydrocarbon group; R<2> and R<3> which may be the same or different from each other are each hydrogen or alkyl; k and j are each an integer of 2-4; g is 0 or 1; p is an integer of 1-3; and m and n are each an integer of 0 or greater and m+n>=4). |
