PURPOSE:To provide an exposure control device with which the photographing distance is stretched long at strobe photograph using a high sensitivity film and which controls the exposure properly so that over-exposing is not generated even at a close distance. CONSTITUTION:An exposure control device computes the exposure value, shutter speed, and stop value on the basis of the film sensitivity, fix the shutter speed interlocking range at strobe photograph to the min. limit stop value lying over the min. stop value of the photographing lens, and sets the shutter speed to the optimum speed value within the strobe interlocking range between the strobe-tuned limit speed and shutter speed lower than it. The first min. limit value is calculated from Eq. I whereby the stop enlarges with the film sensitivity by applying a weighting between 0 and 1 to the film sensitivity while the operating mode is such as described above, and the second min. limit value is calculated from Eq. II whereby the stop enlarges with closer photographing distance, and that of these two stop values which is the greatest is used to set the min. limit stop value. |
