<p>PURPOSE:To improve performance of a turbine so as to provide a multi-step turbocharger having good efficiency by providing a first step turbine which is driving-rotated by exhaust gas of an engine, second step turbine provided on the downstream side of the first step turbine, and a power generating means driven by them. CONSTITUTION:A first step turbine 1 is provided with an exhaust gas taking-in port connected to the exhaust port of an engine and an impeller 5. A second step turbine 30 is provided with an impeller 31, the inlet side thereof is connected to the outlet of the first step turbine 1 by means of an exhaust pipe 33'. The rotor 35 of a power generator is fixed to a rotary shaft 33 installed on the impeller 31, the rotor 35 rotated by the impeller 31, so that it may is act as a power generator 39. Since a first compressor 10 is driven by the first step turbine 1, and the second step turbine 30 is driven by exhaust gas led from the first step turbine 1, it is possible to drive the engine with good efficiency.</p> |
