<p>PURPOSE:To prevent failure occurring according to unsuitability between the kind of a tape loaded on a data recorder and the operation of the data recorder by detecting and identifying a coding hole with a coding hole senser. CONSTITUTION:A tape loading system 113 feeds a tape by being driven with a tape drive system 111, and further, the system 113 loads the tape to a rotary drum 112. By the coding hole senser 114, the coding hole provided on a magnetic tape 10 is detected and identified e.g. by an optical detection means. A servo system 12 is controlled by a CPU 14, and a drive motor 110 is servo controlled. By the CPU 14, the control of respective parts of a magnetic tape recording and reproducing device 1 and various kinds of processings are performed. Thus, the failure occurring due to the unsuitability between the kind of the tape loaded on the data recorder and the data recorder is prevented.</p> |
