<p>PURPOSE:To perform writing to and reading from a built-in EPROM by a microcomputer having fewer external terminals using a general purpose ROM writer by providing an I/F device capable of changing the correspondence relation of connection between the respective external terminals of the microcomputer and a general purpose EPROM writer. CONSTITUTION:An I/F device 13 is connected between a microcomputer 10 having a smaller number of external terminals than that of a built-in EPROM 11 and a general purpose EPROM writer 12 for performing writing/reading of the ROM 11. In such a case, most parts of the external terminals of the microcomputer 10 function as either mode of address terminals A0-An, data terminals D0-Dk, control terminals CE, OE or a power source terminal Vpp for writing to the ROM 11. Thus, the device 13 alters the correspondence relation of connection between the external terminals of the microcomputer 10 and the external terminals of the writer 12 according to a mode changeover control signal from the writer 12. Consequently, even when the microcomputer specified with fewer pins is used, writing/reading to the ROM 11 is performed by means of the general purpose writer 12.</p> |
