<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the operating time of a magnetic-tape library device in which, when a plurality of tapes used in an information processing apparatus are recorded and replayed automatically, a claw for restraining a tape from springing out, a hinge for controlling its turning and moving motion and a spring for claw return are installed at the lower part of a cartridge loading and discharge port in a housing shelf. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge loading and discharge port 9 for tape insertion and taking-out is formed at the side face of a cartridge housing shelf 2, and a stopper 3 which is used to prevent a tape from springing out to the outside is installed at the lower part of its outer end. A claw 7 which prevents the tape from springing out to the outside, a hinge 8 which is used to drive a turning and moving motion around a fulcrum 10 and a coil spring 6 which is used to return the claw 7, are installed at the stopper 3. When the tape is taken out, a hand in a cartridge conveyance mechanism part is advanced into the loading port 9, the hand is retreated while the side face of the tape is being gripped and held, the tape is passed on the claw 7 and the tape is pulled out to the outside. After that, the claw 7 is returned to its original position by the spring 6.</p> |
