The front and rear bumpers of vehicles are shaped to fit into each other, allowing one vehicle to push another disabled vehicle without requiring a tow rope connection. The bumper supports are fitted with collision sensors which immobilise the vehicle electrics. During retrieval of a disabled vehicle, the driver of the disabled vehicle can determine the speed and direction of travel. For downhill travel the vehicle can coast unassisted. The bumper supports can be damped and the level of cut-out for the immobilising switch can be adjusted. USE/ADVANTAGE - The shaped bumper provides a simple removal of disabled vehicles while the immobilising switch prevents fires in a collision.
