<p>PURPOSE:To provide a runner for extracting remaining iron, from a blast furnace without needing a special device. CONSTITUTION:The runner for extracting the remaining iron at the bottom in the blast furnace is composed of a main runner 2 for flowing down the remaining iron, a sub-runner 3 branched from the main runner 2 and having the bottom surface level higher than the bottom surface level of the main runner 2, an engaging part 4 arranged on the inner surface of the main runner 2 at the downstream side of the branch point 8 of the sub-runner 3, a damper 5 engaged with the engaging part 4 and damming up the remaining iron flowing down the main runner 2. By this constitution, only by operating the damper 5, the flowing passage of the remaining iron can be changed over.</p> |
