PURPOSE:To manufacture easily parts made of fiber-reinforced plastic, by a method wherein a piece of hollow continuing hollow braiding is manufactured by knitting in reinforcing fibers so that they cross each other, a matter obtained by inserting a core material into this braiding is inserted into a mold, resin is cast and cured. CONSTITUTION:In the case where the title method is applied to manufacture of a front fork for a bicycle, a core material 1 for the front fork is made of a foamed material and reinforcing fibers are knitted in so that they cross each other, through which a piece of continuing hollow braiding 2 is made. Then the foregoing core material 1 for the front fork is inserted into the braiding 2 through one end opening of the braiding 2 and a U-shaped part (a right and left front fork leg parts 1a, 1b) of the core material 1 is coated with the braiding 2. On this occasion, a thread angle of the braiding 2 is made at a low thread angle of not exceeding 15 degrees and a composition is made high. Then after the braiding 2 are stuck close to the foregoing fork leg parts 1a, 1b by squeezing the braiding 2, parts each are inserted within a mold, mold clamping is performed, epoxy resin having, for example, 60 deg.C is cast within the mold, cured and then parts of various matters are completed by taking out from the mold. |
