<p>PURPOSE:To improve heat insulation performance of a pipe segment and piping formed by the pipe segment by forming an inner pipe thinner than an outer pipe, welding an end flange to the outer pipe, and disposing engaging members for air-tightly connecting the inner pipes to each other at the time of connection on the end surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A pipe segment has a central part formed as a three-layer structure comprising a thin inner pipe 22, a heat insulating material layer 24 and a thick outer pipe 23. At the both end areas thereof, connecting flanges 21 are welded on the outer pipe 23. Further, one end part of the inner pipe 22 is projected over the flange 21 by a fitting part, and the other end part thereof is expanded to be tapered toward the flange 1. At the time of connection, the respective inner pipes 22, 22' of right and left pipings are fitted to ch other by a projecting part 26 and a tapered parat 27, and bolted by the flanges 21. Since the heat insulating material layer 24 also exists in the connected part as well as in the central part of the pipe segment, the heat insulation performance can be improved.</p> |
