PURPOSE: To easily hold and release a hollow cylinder by flattening and expanding a flared flexible lip through a tension shaft in a mandrel to carry the hollow cylinder, and pressing its outer edge against an inner wall of the hollow cylinder. CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing an electrostatic photograph image forming member, a mandrel 10 to carry a hollow cylinder is provided with an elongated arm 12, a firm dished member 14, and a dished disk 15 having a flared flexible lip 16. It also provided with a tension providing means 20 fitted on an upper end of a tension shaft 18 and on an upper end of the arm 12, upper and lower fins 19 and a hollow cylinder 22. A pressing means 26 is fixed to a lower end of the tension shaft 18 by a nut 25. When the tension providing means 20 is operated, a spiral spring 28 pulls the tension shaft 18 upward, the pressing means 26 is moved upward to press the lip 16, and the lip is expanded to allow an outermost edge to be brought into contact with an inner wall of the hollow cylinder 22. |
