<p>PURPOSE:To attain proper focus adjustment by applying coefficient correction corresponding to distortion of an image to a weighting coefficient set to each of plural areas in a screen so as to obtain accurate focus information from the plural areas. CONSTITUTION:When coefficient correction is applied to a weighting coefficient set to each of plural areas of a screen in response to distortion of an image, a microcomputer 11 reads zoom position information from a zoom encoder 1 to encode a distortion correction quantity. Then a correction coefficient for a weighting value of each area is read from table data of distortion/correction codes and multiplied with data stored in the microcomputer 11 to correct the weighting value. Then an area integration device 18 applies area integration to control reference parameter and the resulting data are fed to the microcomputer 11. Then the corrected weighting data are referenced, the integration data of each area are subjected to weight processing and new control data are calculated and outputted. Thus, accurate focusing information corresponding to optical distortion is obtained.</p> |
