<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce a moving picture having a smooth motion. CONSTITUTION:A moving picture signal decoding section 101 finishes decoding coded signals from a 0-th frame to a (kX(n+1))th frame (n is an integer less than 0) and outputs decoded pictures up to a decoded picture of a (kXn)th frame and stores them in frame memories 103, 104. Moreover, multiplier sections 107, 108 and an adder 109 use decoded pictures of a (kXn)th frame and a the (kX(n+1)th frame to a (kXn+k-1)th frame in the order of smaller frame numbers and outputs a generated picture sequentially from the generating frame position. If these is any frame position picture not generating the picture, the picture generated just precedingly is outputted again at the relevant position and the decoded picture of the (kX(n+1)th frame is succeedingly outputted.</p> |
