VIRTUAL-REALITY SYSTEM AND GENERATION METHOD OF VIRTUAL-REALITY WORLD OF VIRTUAL-REALITY IMAGE

PURPOSE: To provide a virtual reality system which makes an operator feel as if he were in the virtual reality worlds of virtual reality images. CONSTITUTION: The images are generated on a display screen 60 in response to the actions of an operator wearing a helmet device 28 and also to a control signal. The image data are extracted out of a memory circuit of a microprocessor 76 and a display circuit is controlled. Then a virtual reality image 62 is changed, so that the operator feels as if he were in the image 62 and concerned in it. The 1st and 2nd objects in the virtual reality worlds 74 are graphically shown on the displays 60 and 68, and a 1st dividing face is decided between both objects. Then a 2nd dividing face is decided in response to the object moving across the 1st dividing face. The 1st and 2nd objects are selectively turned obscure according to the relative position to a prescribed observation point, and the movements of objects occurring in the worlds 74 are graphically displayed on both displays 60 and 68.
