CARD, JUDGMENT OF GENUINENESS THEREOF AND HOLOGRAM TRANSFER FOIL USED IN PRODUCTION OF THE CARD

PURPOSE:To judge the genuineness of a card by detecting the presence of a response output waveform by bonding a hologram layer to the surface of a card substrate and arranging a magnetic fiber to at least one of a protective layer, a hologram forming layer and an adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:A hologram transfer foil is constituted by forming a hologram layer 28 on the single surface of a support film 10. The hologram layer 28 is constituted by successively laminating a release layer 12, a magnetic fiber- containing protective layer 14, a hologram forming layer 20 having a relief type hologram 18 formed on the surface thereof, a metal reflecting layer 24 formed by vapor deposition and an adhesive layer 26. After the adhesive layer 26 is bonded to a card base material, the support film 10 and the release layer 12 are peeled to transfer the hologram layer 28 to the card base material to produce a card 50. When the genuineness of the card 50 is judged, the magnetic output waveform of the part of the hologram layer 28 is read by a reading head 41 and compared with the output signal of a magnetic stripe part 52.
