PURPOSE:To obtain napped woven or knit fabric having softness, an excellent warm feeling and improved dyeability by treating napped woven or knit fabric composed of cellulosic yarn with liquid ammonia before (or after) napping treatment. CONSTITUTION:Woven or knit fabric comprising natural fiber such as cotton or rayon is scoured, bleached, immersed in liquid ammonia (for about 5 seconds), deammoninated and napped to give soft napped woven or knit fabric free from reduction in tenacity. |
