PURPOSE:To produce 3-hydroxymethyl-6-hydroxypyridine, 3-aminomethyl-6- chloropyridine and a 3-(alkylamino)methyl-6-chloropyridine which are important synthetic intermediates for medicines, agrichemicals, dyes, etc., by utilizing microbial and chemical reactions. CONSTITUTION:A microbial cell of a microorganism and its treated substance are used to hydroxylate 3-aminopyridine and produce 3-cyano-6-hydroxypyridine, which is then reduced in an acidic aqueous solution to provide 3- hydroxymethyl-6-hydroxypyridine. The resultant 3-hydroxymethyl-6- hydroxypyridine is subsequently chlorinated to produce 3-chloromethyl-6- chloropyridine, which is then aminated to afford 3-aminomethyl-6-chloropyridine. The prepared 3-aminomethyl-6-chloropyridine is subsequently alkylaminated to provide a 3-(alkylamino)methyl-6-chloropyridine. |
