PREPARATION OF RIVET JOINT

PURPOSE: To certainly remove difficult points generated at the time of manufacturing a riveted joint for members made of oxide dispersion reinforced type superalloy especially based on iron and nickel. CONSTITUTION: A rivet axis is made of a recrystallized, coarse grained iron- based or nickel-based oxide dispersion reinforced type superalloy having a crystal grain elongation in a longitudinal direction of 5:1 to 50:1. The production of rivet heads from a rivet axis base material is performed under defined processing temperatures, at an axis temperature between 600 deg. and 100 deg.C or at a tool temperature between 50 deg. and 300 deg.C.
