PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that has excellent charge start-up characteristics of quickly starting charging and quickly reaching a sufficient charge amount, and suppresses a change in the charge amount after being left unused in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment for a long period.SOLUTION: A toner has toner particles containing a binder resin, a colorant, and a polar resin or a charge control agent, and the toner contains a polymer having a partial structure represented by the following formula (1) as a side chain.
