<p>PURPOSE:To assure the high positional accuracy of colored layers and to make possible for the individual colored layers to maintain good shapes by having at least a stage for selectively energizing electrode pattern and electrodepositing an electrodeposition coating material on the specific electrode patterns. CONSTITUTION:This process for production of the color filter having the colored layers consisting of inorg. matter has at least the following stages; (a) a stage for obtaining the electrodeposition coating material for the color filters by dispersing fine powder consisting of a mixture composed of inorg. pigment and low melting glass into an aq. soln. dissolved with a water-soluble resin, (b) a stage for impregnating a substrate formed with the electrode patterns consisting of a conductive material into the electeodeposition coating material, (c) a stage for electrodepositing the electrodeposition coating material on the electrode patterns provided on the substrate by selectively energizing the electrode patterns and (d) a stage for baking the substrate electrodeposited with the electrodeposition coating material. As a result, the high positional accuracy of the colored layers is maintained and the waste of the material to be used for forming the patterns is suppressed.</p> |
