In order to produce the connection of the two housing parts in a cost-effective manner in a two-part filter housing, an outer closure part is connected to an inner closure part by radial deformation by means of a tensioning band. The closure device is designed in such a way that an axial relative movement of the housing parts is caused to take place at the same time as the radial deformation, as a result of which a seal located between the two housing parts is deformed elastically.
