<p>Methods and compositions for stimulating the growth of osteoblasts are disclosed. A composition comprising platelet derived growth factor and vitamin D is applied to osteoblasts in an amount sufficient to stimulate their growth. The methods may be used to promote the growth of osteoblasts in vitro or to promote the healing of bone defects in vivo.</p> |
