<p>This invention relates to a cover for preventing the skidding of an automobile tire, and more particularly to an air pressure fitted antiskid cover for tire which is provided with air pockets in the inner surface of an antiskid wheel body the inner diameter of which is somewhat larger than the outer diameter of a tire, and which is adapted to be fitted firmly over the outer circumferential surface of the tire with an air pressure. In order to eliminate the various drawbacks of a conventional means for preventing skidding encountered with a chain or a snow tire, the present invention provides an antiskid cover for tire which consists of a wheel body with reinforcing wire materials buried fixedly therein, and an antiskid means provided on the outer surface of the wheel body and having air pockets in the inner circumferential surface thereof, and which is adapted to be fitted closely to a tire by an expansive force of the compressed air generated by attaching the same cover around the circumferential surface of the tire and blowing air into the air pockets through an air injection port, this antiskid cover being attached to and detached from a tire easily, having a large support force and a capability of preventing the skidding of a tire reliably and providing excellent riding comfort and a beautiful appearance.</p> |
