An apparatus for displaying various posters arranged in the longitudinal direction on a poster web is provided with a box comprising a display window and means for moving the poster web along the display window with the aid of a drive. These means are provided with coupling members, linked to the drive, for housing a replaceable roll designed to carry the poster web. A roll mounted in the apparatus is provided with linking means to provide a releasable link to the poster web. The apparatus has only one motor for both rolls, but one-way clutches and a slip clutch in the drive ensure faultless movement of the poster web.
