The circuit generates the power-down signal of the peripheral when a job is stopped during a given time and removes the power-down signal when a job is executed again. The circuit comprises a jumper adjusting serial port detection signal and address selection signal; an I/O detection PAL determining whether the I/O unit is used now or not; an internal operation detection PAL outputting delay signal and hardware disable signal; a power-down signal generation PAL; a counter.
