<p>When a designation operation of a communication mode is effected at the time of activation of an apparatus with turn-on of a power supply or when one communication is completed, a search control portion (21) of a control circuit (20) starts detecting base stations for control channels. Of the base stations detected, one having a desired communication mode and having the highest signal intensity is selected. The apparatus captures and sets the control channel of the selected base station, and stands by to await a connection.</p> |
