<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic toner used for development by the formation of a thin layer and stably giving high density and high quality images free from fog over a long period of time by incorporating a silicone graft copolymer obtd. by allowing terminally reactive silicone oil to react with a vinyl polymer having specified functional groups. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic toner contains at least a magnetic substance and a graft copolymer obtd. by allowing terminally reactive silicone oil having 500-20,000 number average mol.wt. represented by the formula to react with a vinyl polymer having functional groups capable of chemical bonding to the silicone oil. In the formula, R1 is hydroxyl, amino, carboxy, epoxy, methacryl, mercapto or phenol, R2 is hydroxyl, amino, carboxyl, epoxy, methacryl, mercapto, phenol or methyl (one terminal type) and (n) is 3-300.</p> |
