<p>PURPOSE:To accurately estimate the cause of a process abnormality in a water treatment plant and a chemical plant, etc. CONSTITUTION:States in a diagnosis object process are represented by several information items and conditions for judging measured values or the like corresponding to the respective information items as abnormal are set beforehand. At the time of estimating the abnormality cause, it is assumed that the information items to be all the abnormality cause candidates are the causes for bringing on the abnormality, whether or not the link of several routes reaching the result is established is retrieved while collating the states of the respective information items and the information items assumed as the abnormality causes for satisfying the conditions that the entire route formed by the link of several routes reaches all the information items indicating the abnormality are estimated as the candidates of the abnormality cause. Also, for the information item for which information for indicating the information can not b obtained among the respective information items, the state of the information item is assumed to be in a certain state so as not to interrupt the link of the result from the assumed abnormality cause.</p> |
