FERMENTATION TANK APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To increase the heat transfer efficiency by improving the convection of mash in a fermentation tank and enable the cooling and heating of mash during the initial stage of fermentation before the level of mash reaches the jacket part of the cylindrical part of the fermentation tank. CONSTITUTION:A jacket 5 for passing cooling water is formed on the outer circumference of the cylindrical part 1 of a fermentation tank T. The bottom of the fermentation tank T has a hemispherical end plate 2. A surrounding skirt 3 encircling the lower part of the fermentation tank T is formed below the boundary between the cylindrical part 1 and the end plate 2 and a heat- insulation material 7 is attached to the inner circumference of the surrounding member 3. An air cooler 8 and a blower 9 connected to a cooling water line 10 is placed as an airconditioning means in a space below the end plate 2 surrounded by the surrounding member 3.
